Er wordt geschoten
Zowaar een kogelgat op mijn auto. Lijkt net een aangeschoten verkeersbord op het Amerikaanse platteland. Dit weekeinde heeft de (waarschijnlijk) zelfde dader op een trein geschoten.

Welcome to Utah
In September 1823, Joseph Smith was visited by a heavenly messenger named Moroni, in the same way that angels often appeared to Church leaders in the New Testament. Moroni informed Joseph that God had a work for him to do and told him that a record of the ancient inhabitants of the American continent was buried in a nearby hill. He stated that the record contained the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ (Joseph Smith—History 1:27–34). In September 1827, Joseph received the record, which was written on thin plates of gold. Joseph translated the book into English by the inspiration of God and called the book the Book of Mormon. It is named after
Mormon, an ancient prophet who compiled the sacred record. The book verifies, as another testament of Christ, the reality and divinity of Jesus Christ. It is, then, a second witness that affirms the truth of the Bible. Since its publishing in 1830, the Book of Mormon has blessed the lives of millions of people through its powerful message about Jesus Christ and His gospel.

Welcome to Idaho
Certainly
To love can be a rhapsody
With one release
Your shadows all around to see
No one to know
A colder heart can't beat indeed
Pick up the pieces and start
Don't deny the fire in your heart
Before you know you walk right into
A lovers stroke that's so romantic
And even now tyou wanna band it
Oh nonono I wanna stand it
And anymore
He take me high high high
Everytime he's wanna try
Idaho I feel so fine
Idaho tell me why
Idaho
About a heart to go
Something inside feeling so fine
Every want to know
Don't you know
Way back in Idaho
Here by my side
Baby he comes
Way back in Idaho
Give me everything I long for
It's a miracle that you surrender
I let you know cause love is tender
And even now you understand it
And no no no no I can stand it
Not anymore
He takes me high high hig
Everytime's he wanna try

The ears of corn
Here's the story: vandaag hebben we twee maiskolven gekocht. We vroegen ons af of we dat in de magnetron konden klaar maken. Dat vroegen we vervolgens aan Google:
Wet a paper towel, and wring out. Wrap the ear of corn in the moist towel, and place on a dinner plate. Cook in the microwave for 5 minutes. Carefully remove paper towel, and enjoy!
Maar wat is nu 'ear of corn'? Welnu, dit is wat Marianne vond toen ze een plaatje zocht.

Welcome to Wyoming
More than 600 species of wildlife inhabit Wyoming... The diverse terrain in Wyoming includes plains, foothills and high mountain ranges. Within each of these areas are forests, sagebrush flatlands, marshy wetlands, river bottoms and rocky cliffs. Each area has wildlife of its own and even the beginner can see wildlife readily.
